The purpose of a blog is to sell your brand and make others aware of who you are. I rather enjoy my role here at SESCO Group and routinely look for opportunities to brag about our group like a proud parent or grandparent. Frankly, I am rather good to maybe even great when it comes to bragging on my kids and grandkids. Even though my kids and grandkids are (warning….bragging alert) better than yours, and I have pictures to prove it, it’s the process of bragging that provides me so much enjoyment. By extension then, bragging on the SESCO Team also brings me great enjoyment but helps to spread the SESCO Group message to whomever reads the exercise in bragging. But may I remind you, it isn’t bragging if you can do it…ask Michael Jordan.
At SESCO, I regularly brag about our people, our work and our building. SESCO Group is a full-service environmental consultant that is radically different than what most of you are used to. Our last office was a brownfield redevelopment that is still a great benefit to the community but due to our growth our new, larger, beautiful office just south of the Fountain Square redevelopment area of Indianapolis brings style, form and function to a once underused site. The Indianapolis area art throughout the building showcases the talent of local artisans, family and even some of our subcontractors. Our company has provided each of us spectacular offices, (warning….bragging alert) not cubicles but individually finished offices right down the halls from our social areas, gym and work out areas and our dynamic corporate conference room. We encourage you to come and check us out because it isn’t bragging if you can do it.
Recently, SESCO Group had the privilege of presenting alongside professionals from the Indiana Department of Environmental Management at the MSECA Conference on Environmental Liabilities, Risk Assessment, and Remediation. Our COO, Brent Graves, talked about our recent experience and the cost and time saving benefits of a consultant/regulator partnership as it pertains to the characterization of ELTF eligible petroleum sites. SESCO reached out to IDEM ELTF and LUST section chiefs in late 2016 to ask if they were considering the use of high-resolution site characterization (HRSC) tools on ELTF eligible sites as part of IDEM’s proposed rule changes. Over a series of conversations and meetings between IDEM and SESCO environmental professionals, IDEM approved a pilot test of HRSC tools on one of our sites in Hebron, Indiana in March 2018. In July 2018, SESCO received approval of our Further Site Investigation work plan to define the vertical and horizontal extents of diesel and gasoline impacts in soil and groundwater. Field activities started in October 2018, at which time SESCO and IDEM were in constant communication to discuss the findings in real time and discuss next steps. IDEM determined SESCO’s innovation saved approximately $100,000 in costs and shortened the project by 1.5 years. Now, (warning….bragging alert) SESCO regularly, REGULARLY saves our clients real time and real money by utilizing our experience and innovations on their projects. It isn’t bragging if you can do it.
Lastly, I want to brag on one last item…. OUR PEOPLE. You know how at every office there is at least one person everybody hates and avoids like the plague but endures them because they have too? Well, we don’t have one of those. Check out our website and investigate our people then come by and meet them. Shoot, I’ll even give you the tour, introduce you around and buy you a great Fountain Square lunch. We have educated, experienced and client focused professionals here. As a matter of fact, if you have the goods, we will gladly talk with you about having a great future at SESCO Group.
SESCO Group-Peace of Mind, Restored. Not bragging just fact.
